Larkspur Primary School are based in Gateshead in the North East, and are proud to be at the heart of their local community.
When the new Headteacher joined Larkspur Primary School, she inherited a website that no longer reflected the school’s evolving vision, values, and vibrant community.
The existing design felt outdated and generic, something she wanted to change quickly to create a more professional, engaging, and representative online presence that parents, staff, and pupils could be proud of.
The goal was clear: to build a website that showcased Larkspur’s ethos, energy, and ambition, while aligning with their renewed school values and providing a seamless experience for visitors.

OUR SOLUTION
After discussing the Headteacher’s priorities, we began by exploring what makes Larkspur unique. The “Tree of Life” stood out as a central element in their school identity, symbolising growth, inclusion, and nurturing – the perfect inspiration for both their new logo and wider website design.
1. Modernised the school logo
The modernised logo brings new life to the school’s communications, and the design now feels consistent, purposeful, and aligned with their mission.
2. Refreshed the colour palette and typography
To create a professional, approachable brand identity.
3. Designed a new website
that reflected the school’s warm, community-focused ethos, while ensuring easy navigation for parents and compliance with DfE requirements.
