Over the past year we’ve been listening very carefully to what schools actually struggle with. Nearly every conversation came back to one theme:

TIME

Admin time. Communication time. Chasing time.

And at some point someone always says, “We just need something that works.”

So, instead of adding a few quick fixes, we decided to rethink our platform from the foundations up. Not because we wanted something shiny, but because schools deserve something that reduces workload in practical, everyday ways.

This rebuild is the result.

On the face of the rebuild you may notice some subtle changes to the interface. Probably not dramatic enough to first engage your curiosity but look a little deeper in certain areas and you will discover all sorts of new improved ways of working that will make completing your website tasks a lot easier and faster.

A clearer parents’ evening experience

Why we changed it

Our parents evening system has been operating brilliantly. But we wanted to make it easier for parents and those in schools setting up all the sessions. We listened, took stock and acted on the feedback. The result was a completely rebuild parents interface which is now more secure, more performant and offers parents a way to manage their bookings in real time.

What’s new

Parents now see a much clearer visual layout, showing exactly what’s available in real time. Teachers are easy to find, and the whole booking flow is smooth and obvious.

For staff, it’s just as clear:

  • who is booked
  • who still needs a slot
  • what still needs attention

Why this matters

When parents understand the booking system without help, schools avoid dozens of small questions that eat up admin time.

Parents feel confident, teachers feel prepared, and office staff finally get to breathe.

Forms linked directly to pupil records

Why we did it

Schools rely on constant communication with parents for everything from permissions, wellbeing, updates, behaviour, trips and medical information.

But most schools are still chasing responses through emails, paper slips, spreadsheets or messages buried somewhere in someone’s inbox or worse still some not stuffed in the bottom of the pupils book bag.

That’s slow, error-prone, and stressful.

What’s changed

Our forms are now linked directly to pupils. We introduced the pupil key in our parents evening system and the same key can now be used with our powerful forms solution. Schools can gather information, permissions, or feedback and immediately know which pupil it belongs to without having to export to spreadsheets and trawl through lists of names ticking responses off.

Information stops floating around. It lands exactly where it should.

Why this matters

This cuts out countless manual steps:

  • no copying into spreadsheets
  • no checking names
  • no “who is this for?”
  • no lost forms

And because it’s easier for parents, reply rates increase meaning better home-school communication and fewer loose ends.

Multi-academy trust publishing (vacancies and policies)

Why we built it

Trusts are producing policies centrally but still rely on individual schools to keep those policy pages updated. We know, we feel your pain. We support a lot of schools with content updates and having a trust send out a new policy to be added to all schools sites can be a tour of a few sites to 20 sites. The time increases exponentially the more schools that are in the trust.

That means different versions, different wording, and sometimes outdated documents still live online without anyone realising.

In a world of safeguarding, compliance and accountability, that’s a real problem.

The new approach

A trust can now publish a policy or vacancy once, and every school in the MAT displays that information automatically.

Schools don’t have to upload anything and Trusts don’t have to chase the school office to make sure the policy is updated.

Why this matters

This creates consistency across the trust, without asking more of schools.

  • one place to update
  • instantly rolled out everywhere
  • always current
  • always compliant

Trusts save enormous amounts of time, and schools stop being responsible for something that should never have been manual in the first place.

Why these changes all connect

On the surface, these might look like three separate improvements:

  • clearer parents’ evenings
  • linked forms
  • MAT publishing

But they are actually built on the same belief:

Schools shouldn’t have to manage information manually.

If software is doing its job properly, communication becomes automatic, and every piece of information lives in the right place the first time.

That’s the vision we’re building. That vision is at the core of our believe that our system should save schools time, money or ideally both!

Built for the future schools asked for

This rebuild wasn’t driven by technology trends, it was driven by conversations with schools. As with all our changes and our core business philosophy we have been working on this in the background, quietly and patiently. The new platform has already rolled out to some early adopters who have been conducting initial trials.

You asked for:

  • less admin
  • less duplication
  • fewer manual steps
  • better parent engagement
  • and things that just work

So that’s what we built.

And now that the foundation is stronger, we can deliver improvements faster and shape new features directly around your ideas reducing our development cycles.

In short, schools have a louder voice in how the platform evolves, and we can respond more quickly than ever.

Why this saves money in the long run

A platform that reduces manual admin isn’t just convenient it has a real financial impact:

  • fewer support requests
  • fewer hours spent chasing parents
  • less duplication of effort
  • and more tasks handled automatically

And at trust level, the ability to manage everything centrally is an immediate cost saving in time and resource.

In summary

We rebuilt the platform because schools deserve systems that genuinely reduce workload and look after the small details automatically.

This is not about bells and whistles, it’s about removing friction from everyday school life.

We’re proud of this update because it reflects what schools told us they needed most.

And we’re just getting started.

Oh and the best bit as we head to the end of 2025 and into 2026. All our prices stay the same. There is no change to existing contract prices and our clear, simple pricing structure page is published on our website and there are no changes.
