Over the past academic year, we’ve introduced a range of new tools and improvements to our web platform — all designed to save you time and make school communication easier. Whether it’s boosting parental engagement or streamlining admin tasks, here’s what’s new in 2025.
Parents’ Evening: More Flexibility, Less Admin
Parent Emails via Wonde Import
You can now automatically send pupil keys to parents by email when using Wonde. No need to download or manually upload spreadsheets. It’s a faster, safer way to share access details with families.
Phone Booking Option
We’ve added the ability for parents to request a phone appointment if they can’t attend in person. This helps schools be more inclusive and adaptable to different family needs. It also saves your office staff time managing alternative requests manually.
Saveable Letter Templates
Create your own custom Parents’ Evening letters (with built in AI) and save them in the platform for future use. No more starting from scratch every term. Just update the date and details — and you’re good to go.
Quick Publish for Letters Home
Now you can publish your letter templates directly to the ‘Letters Home’ section of your website in one click. This removes the need to duplicate effort or copy content between areas. It’s a small update with a big impact on your efficiency.
Content Freshness Audit
Our new audit tool helps you check which parts of your website might be out of date or due a refresh. It scans for stale content and gives you a clear view of what needs attention. Perfect for keeping your site relevant, accurate, and trusted by parents.
Site Action Tracking
Want to see what’s been updated and by whom? The platform now lets you track the actions of your site editors and admins. This boosts accountability and makes collaborative site management easier.
Work-Life Balance Tracker
We’ve added tools to help you understand when your team is updating the school website — including evenings and weekends. This insight can support wellbeing conversations and promote a healthier work/life balance. It’s a small step toward better school staff support.
Event Quicklinks Menu
You can now jump ahead — or back — up to 6 months in your calendar view using our new quicklinks. This makes navigating your schedule so much easier. Ideal for long-term planning or reviewing key events.
Simplified Event Creation
Setting up events is now even faster. Just enter the start date, and the system automatically fills in the end date. No more unnecessary clicks or confusion when creating calendar items.
Recurring Events
If you host weekly assemblies, monthly meetings, or termly reviews — you’ll love this. Our new recurring event feature lets you set up the pattern once and let the system handle the rest. It reduces repetition and keeps your calendar consistent.
Policy Management by Category
You can now tag pages with a category (e.g. ‘Policies’) to automatically display relevant document sets. This means less manual file linking and better consistency across your site. It’s perfect for compliance and parent transparency.
School Calendar Alerts
Set up alerts to display the next upcoming school event, right on your homepage or dashboard. This keeps parents and staff informed without needing to search. A small detail that makes a big difference in communication.
